Pilot International was chartered on October 18, 1921 in Macon, Georgia, U.S.A. by Elizabeth Leonard and forty local businesswomen. Pilot International is a community-based, volunteer, service organization founded on the guiding principles of “Friendship and Service.” Today, Pilot Clubs are home to thousands of service-minded men and women, adult and youth, from all walks of life, in countries around the world. Pilots remain dedicated to the principles of Friendship and Service by bringing care and kindness to those in need. The historic inspiration for the name “Pilot” was inspired by the riverboat pilots who would steer atrue course through calm or troubled waters. The riverboat pilots of that day also embodied leadership and guidance.

Pilot Club of Honolulu of Pilot International is a volunteer, charitable, and educational service organization whose purpose is to promote programs and activities that influence positive change in communities.

The mission of the Pilot Club of Honolulu is to bring positive change in the quality of life within our communities. Through friendship and service, we strive to make a lasting impact on Hawaii and beyond.
